San Andres Wrapper
Named for the valley in Mexico where it is grown. This is a tough, thick, hearty leaf. Full of veins and tooth. Commonly referred to as simply “maduro” due to the very dark color that is achieved through extra fermentation. Very dominate in blends and will overpower a cigar very quickly if it is not paired with other robust tobacco varieties. Flavors may include intense dry earth, soil, clay, dirt, and wood.
