Matilde
Many people joyfully retire after 40 years in a single industry, but not Jose Seijas. Upon retirement in 2012, Seijas opened his own factory Tabacalera Matilde in La Romana, Dominican Republic on a much smaller scale than he was used to leading. Seijas adheres to the strictest of quality standards, even going as far as only hiring rollers who actually are cigar smokers as well – deep setting the appreciation for the cigar and product they are creating together.
