Maduro isn’t a variety of tobacco, but it is achieved through an extended processing period with the leaf. This results in a darker color in the leaf and brings out different flavor dynamics. Depending on the strain of leaf used, flavors may include intense sweetness, carmel, dried fruit, licorice, molasses, dark chocolate, brown sugar, earth, cream, pepper, and leather.
