Nicholas Melillo, who worked for Drew Estate from 2003-2014, makes his return to the cigar industry with his new company, Foundation Cigar Co. Debuting his new company and his first blend El Güegüense, at the IPCPR 2015 Trade Show in New Orleans.
For those that don't know Nick Melillo was the executive vice-president of international operations for Drew Estate, until he left in January of 2014. He took part in the blending of the popular Liga Privada No. 9, T52 and Undercrown, among others. And blends like the Dirty Rat are said to have been Nicks personal smokes, before being made into commercial releases. So, there is no doubt that Nick knows how to make successful cigars.
