St. Patrick's Day is the perfect time to smoke a Candela cigar. And Moya Ruiz is releasing their first Candela, also the first Candela out of Erik Espinosa's La Zona Factory. Prompted by an article that Danny Moya read on strange drinks, pickle juice just stuck in his head.
Then, Danny learned that La Zona Director of Factory Operations Hector Alfonso, Sr. had already developed some candela blends. Seeing the perfect opportunity, Danny made a Candela cigar to fit into the Moya Ruiz cigar folder.

"I Like the different packaging and tongue-in-cheek branding, but the real test is the taste and smoking experience. This cigar is mild to medium with enough complexity to keep the smoking experience interesting. It has a nice, even burn all the way down and I don’t detect any “grassiness” (maybe some baled hay at pre-light or the initial puffs). This cigar provides a welcome change of pace for me."
