Got my jalapeño’s this weekend and smoked them all. Tried to order more, but they were sold out:(
Would buy by the box if available. Great cigar!
The weekend was packed, to my standards. Smoked a POS Venezuelan cigar called Bermudez on Friday, which I had to throw away when there was still some left to smoke, and which I think it’s the first time I’ve done. Bermudez are a Venezuelan cheap brand, which are sold as Santería cigars, mainly for witchcraft rites. I bought them by accident and have been smoking one every 6 months, just to see if they would eventually improve. I ended up packing them all together (yes, I bought more than one, at about $3 the box) and storing them out of the humidor, as I don’t have the heart to throw them away. I’ll probably end up giving them away to someone I know is trying to quit smoking.
On Saturday I had a Cohiba Esplendido, which was amazing. I’ve had the bad luck of getting fake and otherwise dubious Cohibas in the past, but this one I got as a wedding gift last March and it was really good, creamy, spicy and very well-aged.
On Sunday I smoked a local cigar (Venezuelan) called Don Quijote, which is pretty simple, but consistent and very well constructed. It was after a hearty meal and over some great conversation with my stepfather, along with some Venezuelan rum.
The favorite one was the Cohiba, though I enjoyed the experience of the Don Quijote much more, since the Cohiba was on a terrace and it got dark and full of bugs when I was halfway through.
Smoked a RoMa Craft Neaderthal and a SLR Gen SLR. Both good but very different. The Neanderthal was fantastic.
