  • Friday I smoked a Cuban Cohiba Robusto gifted to me by a good friend (obviously!) who’d just returned from Cuba. It started salty and very mild, which surprised me, but the intensity steadily grew until by the time I’d nubbed it, it was definitely a full-on cigar. Flavors of earth, cedar and some mild molasses sweetness. It was definitely an enjoyable smoke, but it wasn’t an earth shattering experience, and I’ve enjoyed Nicaraguan, Honduran, and DR smokes just as much and sometimes, more. Saturday I smoked a Padron 3000 maduro with my son-in-law, who was visiting from London. I think I enjoyed that cigar more than the Cohiba. Perhaps it was the company.

  • Didn’t have much time this weekend, but was able to enjoy an Ave Maria Divinia on Saturday.
