Smoked only a little this weekend, and the best was my last little Crux Skeeter. Great Crux flavors in a nice standing-in-the-rain length.
This past weekend I was lucky enough that the weather was nice and clear and warm enough to go on a walk with my fiancee. During that walk around town I enjoyed smoking a Surrogates Cracker Crumbs cigar, which is quickly becoming on of my favorite easy smokes. The pre-cut draw is nice and smooth and it keeps its full flavor through the whole smoke (while still being a good medium strength.)
Later that night a friend of mine came by with a pouch of Ugly Coyote Chocolate cigars he had bought. My motto is I try everything at least once, and well it was better than expected. The cocoa flavor that hits your lips and tongue from the wrapper is pleasant enough, and through the mild smoke it maintained a sweet flavor with touches of mocha. I do like the look of Ugly Coyotes, rustic in a way, and I think I’ll be trying them again soon.
For something new I liked the Ugly Coyote, but my favorite smoke still goes to the Surrogates Cracker Crumbs.
It was an Alec Bradley weekend. I smoked a Retreat and Reserve. The retreat was great!
