Vega Magna was created by the Quesada family alongside legendary tobacco man Miguel "Miguelin" Núñez, a grower and tobacco expert with more than 40 years of experience.

And they didn't exactly use the everyday tobacco room for this one.

The heart of VEGA MAGNA is a selection of Dominican ligero, viso, and seco—including special tercio-aged tobaccos going all the way back to 2001.

If you're unfamiliar with tercio aging, this is some seriously old-school tobacco wizardry.

Instead of simply stacking the tobacco away in conventional bales, the leaves are wrapped in royal palm bark and allowed to slowly mature over long periods of time. This painstaking process helps preserve the tobacco while allowing it to continue developing incredible depth, sweetness, and complexity.

Translation: THIS IS THE GOOD STUFF.

All that beautifully aged Dominican tobacco gets tucked underneath a gorgeous Ecuadorian Sun Grown wrapper, creating a rich, full-bodied 6x50 Toro that tastes every bit as special as the tobacco inside it.

Expect huge notes of cocoa, dried fruit, cedar, earth, roasted nuts, and spice, with a beautiful natural sweetness running underneath the whole thing.

Production is intentionally limited, with Quesada originally assigning the line to a single rolling team at the family's factory in the Dominican Republic.

That's about as boutique as it gets...exceptionally old tobacco, painstaking traditional aging, and generations of Quesada cigar-making knowledge stuffed into one helluva Toro.
