Crowned Heads MIL DÍAS is one of those cigars that reminds you why you became a cigar nerd in the first place.
The story started back in 2017, when Eradio Pichardo and Luciano Meirelles handed Crowned Heads’ Jon Huber an early blend sample. Huber knew immediately they were onto something. What followed was nearly 1,000 days of blending, tweaking, smoking, obsessing, and tweaking some more before Mil Días finally debuted in 2020. Hence the name: Mil Días…“1,000 Days.”
Made in Estelí, Nicaragua at Eradio Pichardo’s TacaNicsa factory, Mil Días combines a gorgeous Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, Nicaraguan binder, and an unusually exotic filler recipe from Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and Peru.
And OMG does that combination work.
Creamy. Floral. Sweet. Woody. Peppery. Ridiculously complex. Expect waves of sweet cream, cedar, toasted nuts, herbs, earth and natural tobacco, with flashes of dark fruit and black pepper sneaking in as it burns.
