Launched in 2011, the Late Harvest is Andre Farkas' ode to the wine industry. The term "Late Harvest" in the wine industry, refers to the harvesting of grapes. To incorporate this into cigars, Viaje picks the last primings from the tobacco plant. Producing a thicker leaf, with more oils and flavor due to the additional sun exposure following the removal of earlier primings.

Here is what he had to say about the Newest HANG TIME VIAJE releases: “In wine parlance, hang time refers to the length of time between flowering and harvest – in other words, how long the grapes hang on the vine. Hang Time is an extension of the Late Harvest line. It differs from Late Harvest in one important way. The wrapper selected for Hang Time is from a higher priming, which allows for more time on the stalk resulting in a more intense smoking experience..”

In fact…Viaje owner Andre Farkas also gave this warning about the Late Harvest Hang Time: “CAUTION - Late Harvest is blended for seasoned cigar enthusiasts. This cigar is not intended for the faint of heart.”
