The Arturo Fuente Añejo is a perfect example of making lemonade when life gives you lemons. In 1998, Hurricane Georges went through the Carribbean and destroyed the crops at Chateau de la Fuente, where the wrapper for the OpusX is grown. Two years later, there is a shortage of the OpusX wrapper.
So, using the Dominican binder and filler of the OpusX, Fuente used a 5-year-aged Connecticut Maduro wrapper, that's been aged in a Cognac barrel. A spicy and rich blend, this cigar is quite rare and only usually shows up during Father's Day and Christmas.
