SOUTHERN DRAW ANNIVERSARY ROSE is a full-bodied, FULL-STRENGTH 6.5x48 toro. Wrapper is an oily 9-year-aged San Andres maduro leaf. Fillers are Corojo 99, Criollo 98, and...Broadleaf ligero!
So, yes, Southern Draw pulled out all the stops for ANNIVERSARY ROSE!
Flavors are absolutely MASSIVE! Big, bold notes of dark chocolate, espresso beans, black pepper, and heavy cream start right outta the gate. Bourbon barrel, turbinado sugar, and vanilla bean follow. The retrohale adds a spicy jalapeño burn.
As it develops, the blend continues to elevate with notes of brown sugar, toasted nuts, and nutmeg.
Halfway through, caramel and clove emerge— keeping the balance perfectly. The cream lingers longer and longer on the finish with hints of maple and cashew.
Last third, everything gets really intense! Retrohale has a big cayenne pepper burn. More waves of nougat, toffee, and walnut. Espresso and cream continue to grow. It perfectly balances the complexity and sweetness of the other flavors.
