When we first launched The Collective back in 2014…we decided to take a handful of boxes/fivers and age them for several YEARS!

We wanted to see what magic would happen to the cigars—their flavors, their character, their maturity.
These cigars are from the ORIGINAL 2014 PRODUCTION! And have been kept hidden in our aging warehouse all these years…waiting for today!
THE COLLECTIVE-Original Batch 2014 Production is one of those cigars that you tell other people stories about! You reminisce about that one time you smoked it at the lake. Or you lit one up when you got that promotion. It's just that good.
THE COLLECTIVE-Original Batch 2014 Production is a full-bodied, med-full strength 6.25x52 prensado toro... with insane amounts of flavor!
It features a San Andrés Café Claro wrapper—which had never been used before when we first made this cigar.
Think about it…this wrapper leaf was put on this cigar over 11 years ago. And it was about 5 years aged at that time. SO THIS IS A 16+ YEAR OLD SAN ANDRES WRAPPER!
Binder and fillers are Corojo 99 and Criollo 98 with tons of Medio Tiempo! (This stuff just ages so beautifully!)
So what has happened to the flavors?? Well, we think they are BETTER THAN EVER!
First light is smooth but still has robust body. Flavors of custard, cinnamon stick, milk chocolate, black coffee, heavy cream, and cedar rush across the palate.
Second third, raw sugar cane, dark leather, honey, black pepper, and vanilla emerge. All of the tobaccos have matured into an intoxicating symphony of flavors. Wow!
Last third, toffee, dried fruit, cardamom, and graham cracker appear. Toasted marshmallow, cocoa, and espresso beans join the blend. The burn is beautiful and the construction is perfect!

"An absolutely magnificent cigar! V-Cut and paired with Pellegrino Mineral Water Definitely full strength and full bodied. Milk chocolate on the pre-light cold draw. In the first third I was enjoying milk chocolate and cinnamon spice and I agree with the tasting notes regarding the heavy cream and custard. The smoke and general mouthfeel was very creamy like a film of cream on the tongue and roof of my mouth. At the end of the first third I tasted dried fruits, a little citrus and when I checked the notes they spoke about dried fruit into the last third. Citrus and dried fruits suits me to a T. XMAS in October 🙂 Into the second third with eyes firmly planted on the Australia v Japan soccer match, I tasted a different type of sweetness and pinned it to possibly a vanilla flavour which continued into the last third. A little bit of pepper spice made an appearance also. Just enough. No pepper bomb here. The tasting notes also speak about honey. Not sure that I got honey. I am happy to stick with Vanilla because the sweetness was a smooth and soft sweetness. Honey will often leave you with a stronger after taste. With the final third, and the game turning to shit, I got graham cracker and a continuation of the black pepper influence. I can't say I got toffee or cardamom or toasted marshmallow. The smoothness continued right the way through. An absolutely enjoyable smoking experience and not a cigar to be shared with a novice. A lot of power in this bad boy and you need to be mindful of how quickly you are drawing. Box worthy? Absolutely! Are boxes available? 🤬 No! But have just bought another 10 singles. Actually, I'm jumping on to get another 10 before you vultures get in! 😆 ♥️"
